This is an over the counter product - it does not require prescription.Joint Support Gel is formulated specifically for cats to support healthy hip and joint function.  Helps maintain joint mobility and provides connective tissue support.  A symptom of arthritis and joint pain in older cats is when they don't jump onto furniture as often, or when they're having accidents in the house because it hurts to step over the side of a litter pan.  Cats with recent bone or joint injury should routinely be given a glucosamine supplement to aid in their recovery and minimize the chance of arthritis developing later. Directions: Give a few tasty licks (3 grams/1-1/2" ribbon) of Cat Joint Support Gel daily. Active Ingredients per 1/2 tsp of gel: Glucosamine HCI 180 mg Chondroitin Sulfate 27 mg MSM 130 mg Yucca Schidigera 36 mg Ascorbic Acid (Source of Vitamin C) 36 mg Vitamin E 27 IU Inactive Ingredients: Chicken Flavor, Cod Liver Oil, Corn Syrup, Malt Syrup, Methylcellulose, Molasses, Potassium Sorbate, Purified Water, Sorbic Acid, Soybean Oil and Soy Protein Concentrate.
